Lost Countdown Week – Wednesday – Introduction

Features, Shows

It’s now official. Lost is dead and buried. It’s over with! There will be no more Lost after 2010. That’s three more seasons of this show and then the creators say it will be over with. Why set up a ending date for this show? It’s Lost. That’s the only reason you need. It’s a unique show and this is the first time that I have really ever heard of the creators of a show setting a ending date for a show years in advance. But it does make sense. Six seasons is pretty good, and they won’t risk the chance of it overstaying its welcome.

The ultimate question is whether fans of the show will stick with it for another three years. The third season has been a rocky one for the show. This season has had the lowest ratings of the show ever. There could be many reasons for that including switching timeslots, stiff compeition, and the crazy scheduling of new episodes.

Still Lost can still be one of the most entertaining shows on television, when it wants to be. That’s why Prime Time Pulse is bringing you a special “Lost Countdown” Week. Starting tomorrow, Thursday, May 17, we will bring to you 7 articles from 7 different writers on the staff, each one talking about the successes and failures of the show in their own way. We will conclude the week on Wednesday, May 23, which happens to be the third season finale. How will he go out with a bang? Glad you asked. By giving you the BIGGEST thing that Prime Time Pulse has every done. The one and only Murtz Jaffer will have something very special and very top-secret to finish us off.

But before that we have 6 other great articles from 6 great writers. We tackle every subject including “can TV viewers still handle serial television?”, “the unanswered questions of Lost“, “the trouble with the Lost flashbacks”, “should you really wait to watch shows like Lost on DVD?”, “why Lost has turned some people away”, and “who has the best chances of dying next on the show?”. All of that and more with the BIGGEST article from Prime Time Pulse EVER! I know you don’t want to miss that.

So get out your lawn chairs, open you favorite beverage of choice, and feel the sand beneath your toes. Listen to the waves as they crash onto the beach, but please duck for cover when planes, people, and things start flying from out of the sky. That could get ugly, especially when “The Others” and that nasty “Smoke Monster” come out to get you. Of course, you’re in Hell anyways, so what do you care?

Lost airs on ABC on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT with the third season finale airing on May 23.

Lost airs on the CTV network in Canada on Wednesday nights at….

Sir Linksalot: Lost

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
