TNA News Updates On VKM, Abyss, Russo & More

News

Konnan may have finally found his kidney. Compatibility tests with a donor found by Rob Feinstein (oh aye) have been successful so far. If things progress then the surgery would be done in June and he would be off TV for a while afterwards.

Meltzer is reporting that Ricky Banderas is still due to come in as Jim Mitchell’s new monster to feud with Abyss. However, some people are reluctant to use him as his AAA schedule is holding up his debut and they already have difficulties booking Tyson Tomko around his Japanese dates.

Vince Russo wants to bring in Jimmy Rave but nothing definite has been decided about it. Nobody seems to be talking about Rob Van Dam either way, yet many are assuming that he will be coming in soon. There’s also a good chance that Sean Waltman will be back in since he has recently worked several Mexican dates without any problems.

Lance Hoyt is going to be established as the protege of VKM before turning heel on them. All you geniuses out there may have already figured this out.

TNA’s undercard wrestlers have been complaining about the ban about them working with ROH, PWG and UWA. Morale took a hit months ago when the company stopped paying for hotel rooms and car rentals, particularly among the low-level workers who were the hardest hit. Now they have been restricted from much-needed regular dates with other promotions and feel there is very little upward mobility no matter how good they perform. The repeated use of Bob Backlund has been particularly controversial backstage as people are booked to put him over and run away from him even though he is 58 and not well known to the modern audience.

Sacrifice seems to have done as bad as any TNA PPV in recent history in terms of buys.
