The Real World: Las Vegas Reunion Week – Sunday – Josh Clinton Interviews Irulan Wilson

Features, Interviews, Shows

Josh Clinton: Hey Irulan. How are you?

Irulan Wilson: Good Josh. Thanks.

JC: So what have you been up to in the last few years?

IW: I moved out to Los Angeles for three years. That was when me and Alton were together and we had a cute little house. I was doing some entertainment stuff for a little while. A little bit of acting, modeling, and traveling. Now I’m back in New York City and doing my photography again, freelancing and stuff. That as well as opening up my own boutique this Fall.

JC: Very cool. When they approached you about the reunion show idea, what did you think?

IW: At first I didn’t want to do it and said no initially. But then after talking to Brynn I decided that it would be a good opportunity to get a little exposure, make some money, and see my roommates again. I was a little apprehensive at first, but definitely am glad that I did it.

JC: Right. What did Brynn say to you to make you change your mind?

IW: She said a lot, but basically it was a good opportunity and a good chance to visit with each other, since we always seem to keep putting that off.

JC: You’re relationship Alton was one of the main focuses of the first season. After you broke up, were you still good friends?

IW: Yeah, we’re definitely still friends. We’ve moved moved on to other relationships, though. So I don’t get to see him or talk to him that often.

JC: What did you new boyfriend think about you moving back in with your ex-boyfriend for two weeks?

IW: He’s pretty secure. I think he was more worried about missing me and me being back on TV than me being back in the house with Alton. We have a good relationship and we trust each other.

JC: Cool. Well I know you have to go soon, so I will make this short. Would you say that the drama, that occurs on this reunion show, is more or less than the original season or is it just a different kind of drama?

IW: I think it’s just different. I think the first time it was very sexually-charged. We were a lot younger and more free. And this time since we are older and know each other and have a history together. The bottom line is that it’s very unnatural to live with seven people in a three-bedroom house with all of the cameras and no privacy. I think it was a lot harder for us to adapt to those circumstances this time than the first time around. I think that it sorta got to us and caused friction, whereas if we were in our natural environment it might not have happened. But overall I think that we all had a good experience and it was good to see everyone.

JC: Right. Well thanks for taking time to answer a few questions from me.

IW: Thank you. Sorry I couldn’t talk longer.

Reunited: The Real World Las Vegas airs on MTV on Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT time starting on May 30.

Sir Linksalot: Reality Television

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
