The big glasses wearing actor who was a huge hit on game shows, movies, and later with many appearances on the Tonight Show has died of complications from pneumonia. He passed away Sunday at the age of 76 in Los Angeles and had been ill for more than a year said his partner Patrick Hughes.

Reilly won a Tony Award in the sixties for his role as Bud Frump in the Broadway production of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. He has been nominated for more Tony Awards later on in years for his acting and directing.

Appearing so often on shows such as “Hollywood Squares” and the “Match Game,” the humorous Reilly had developed a bit of a game show personality and was almost expected to always be there. Often appearing on “The Dean Martin Show” and in bit parts in movies such as Cannonball Run II, Reilly had a long storied career.

We here at Inside Pulse send our thoughts out to you Mr. Reilly, may you rest in peace.
