Love him or hate him, M. Night Shyamalan keeps churning out interesting films and his next one entitled The Happening is sure to be no different. But now his film has its female lead.
Zooey Deschanel (Elf, Bridge To Terabithia) will star opposite Mark Wahlberg (The Departed) will star in the film about a man who takes his family on the run for safety after an apocalyptic natural crisis threatens to end all civilization.
Deschanel is rumored to be playing the part of Wahlberg’s character’s wife in the film. Lensing for The Happening begins in August in Philadelphia.
