TNA Star Surgery Update

Archive

According to Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver.com, Scott Steiner got hurt yesterday at TNA’s San Juan, Puerto Rico, show when Apolo kicked him in the throat. He was reportedly fine after the match, which pitted him and Robert Roode up against Jeff Jarrett and Apolo, but around 2am, he “was having trouble berathing and was rushed to the hospital.” Steiner was scheduled to undergo surgery on his trachea yesterday (Monday) in San Juan, with no estimate on how long he’d be out of action. He is not expected back for “a while,” which likely jeopardizes the Steiners vs. Team 3D match for TNA’s big June 17 Slammiversary event. We’ll have more on this as it’s available, and wish Scott a full and quick recovery.
