Fernando Meirelles is set to direct his next film entitled Blindness and if you’ll pardon the pun, he has his sights set on Mark Ruffalo to star.
Ruffalo (Rumor Has It, Zodiac) will star opposite Julianne Moore (Children Of Men) in the adaptation of a novel from Jose Saramago. The film will be about an outbreak of blindness that takes over an unidentified town. Ruffalo will play a doctor who loses his sight just like everyone else in town. The only one who hasn’t lost her sight is the doctor’s wife (Moore) and their fate may lie in her hands.
Don McKellar has written the script for Blindness which is aiming at a release in March of next year.
