Steiner Surgery Successful; Show Bookings Changed

Archive

Pro Wrestling Insider has reported that Scott Steiner’s surgery indeed took place on Tuesday and it was successful, although he’s unable to fly for several weeks. WrestlingObserver.com has added that Steiner is in ICU and awoke this morning for the first time since the surgery and was in good spirits. He’s listed in stable condition and will be in ICU for a few more days. TNA is reportedly looking for alternate ways to get him back to the mainland US from Puerto Rico, where his injury and surgery took place.

Obviously, the TNA Slammiversary match of Team 3D vs. Scott & Rick Steiner will be changed.

Also, WrestlingObserver.com has reported that the scheduled June 8 Philly show will feature Team 3D vs. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels in a street fight instead of the originally-scheduled Steiner/3D match. Senshi vs. Joey Matthews is also scheduled for the show.

Matthew Michaels is editor emeritus of Pulse Wrestling, and has been since the site launched.
