Harrison Ford is donning the familiar hat and bringing back the whip for a fourth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise, but his dad won’t be joining him.

Sean Connery decided it best if he stayed in retirement and did not come back to reprise his role as the father of Indiana Jones in Spielberg’s new feature. John Hurt is now supposedly taking over the role filled by Connery in Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade. Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, and Ray Winstone are also slated to star.

Not much is known about the plot of the film yet as it is being kept tightly under wraps. It is set to open on May 22 and Connery said that if he was going to do one more film, this would have been it.

“If anything could have pulled me out of retirement, it would have been an Indiana Jones film. I love working with Steven and George, and it goes without saying that it is an honor to have Harrison as my son. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun.”
