One of our favorite busters of ghosts, Bill Murray is still working hard as he sets forth to star in his next film entitled City Of Ember.
The film is an adaptation of a young adult novel by author Jeanne DuPrau and will be directed by Gil Kenan (Monster House). Playtone partners Gary Goetzman and Tom Hanks will be producing the film which will also star Toby Jones and Saoirse Ronan.
City Of Ember tells the story about a lowly, dark place where the only light comes from the street lamps. But the main power source is beginning to fail and soon the entire town will be in total darkness. Two teenagers set out and search for clues that will unlock ancient mysteries about the city. Secrets that have been kept under wraps by the corrupt mayor.
Shooting begins this summer in Belfast and 20th Century Fox is aiming to release it in theatres on October 10, 2008.
