William Hurt Joins Cast Of Hulk 2

The Incredible Hulk continues to outshine its predecessor cast-wise as the stars continue to latch onto the project. Already starring Edward Norton, Tim Roth, and Liv Tyler; William Hurt now joins the cast.

The film will focus on Bruce Banner/Hulk (Norton) out wild and on the run trying to avoid being captured so he can enough time to try and cure his condition that turns him into a monster. Banner will have to face off with an arch enemy as well in Emil Blonsky who thanks to a failed radiation experiment, is forever trapped as a Hulk-esque villain named Abomination. Betty Ross (Tyler) is the woman Banner is in love with who tries to help him in any way she can. Hurt will play the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, Betty’s father.

Zak Penn has written the script for the film that is being directed by Louis Leterrier and produced by Avi Arad and a host of others. Marvel guru Stan Lee is along for the ride as an executive producer.

The Incredible Hulk is currently scheduled for release on June 20, 2008, but there is always the possibility that could change.
