Brad Caleb Kane (Starship Troopers, The Flamingo Kid) has turned his talents over from acting to script writing. Kane will write the script for The Historian which tells the story of modern day vampires.
The story based on Elizabeth Kostova’s first novel has been on the search for a writer for close to two years. Red Wagon’s Douglas Wick said that they wanted someone who could believably modernize the Dracula “myth.”
“One of the things we’ve been looking for is someone who could not only capture the visceral, sexy part of the story, but who also has the talent to make it credible,” ” said Wick.
The Historian‘s main plot revolves around a woman who is searching for her father. He is believed to have gone on a hunt for the gravesite of the original vampire, Vlad the Impaler. Vlad was of course the vampire who Bram Stoker’s Dracula is based upon.
No further info is known at this time such as possible cast or release date, but we’ll get you more as we do.
