Smackdown Spoilers for June 29, 2007

News, Spoilers

Following are the results from last night’s Smackdown tapings in San Antonio, TX, for the show scheduled to air on Friday:

Dark Match

– Chuck Palumbo defeated Kenny Dykstra by pinfall after his over-the-shoulder backbreaker/cutter finisher.

Smackdown Tapings

– Ric Flair defeated RAW’s Carlito by submission.

– Matt Hardy defeated RAW’s Lance Cade by pinfall after the Twist of Fate.

– Chavo Guerrero defeated Jamie Noble and Funaki by pinfall (Gory Bomb, pinned Funaki) in a Triple Threat match, retaining his WWE Cruiserweight Title.

– Backstage segment: Vickie Guerrero is in Teddy Long’s office and Edge says he doesn’t want to wrestle Batista tonight (still photos of the Vengeance match were shown throughout the night, plugging the main event). Long isn’t there, but Vickie tells Edge that the match is non-title. Edge will wrestle under protest. Ha.

– The two hillbillies, in a change of plans, will be coming to Smackdown soon. Why you ask, with such a deep tag roster on the show?

– Deuce & Domino (w/ Cherry) defeated RAW’s Cryme Tyme by pinfall when Deuce rolls up Gaspar with a handful of jeans for the win after a distraction from Cherry. After the match, Cryme Tyme hotwires and steals Deuce & Domino’s car, and the champs run after them.

– Kane defeated what seemed to be a non-title match over United States Champion MVP by pinfall after the chokeslam. Pre-match, Porter said he was a better baller than Tony Parker or Tim Duncan of the home-town Spurs.

– Backstage comedy segment with Victoria and RAW’s Mickie James, with Mickie daring Victoria to kiss Howard Finkel, then Hacksaw Jim Duggan (neither happens for HILARIOUS reasons). Victoria in turn dares Mickie to kiss Big Dick Johnson, and when she goes to do it, Ron Simmons sneaks through the dare, steals the kiss, and when Johnson dances, we get a “DAMN!”

– RAW’s Mickie James defeated Victoria by pinfall via roll-up.

– The Great Khali’s interpreter makes his Smackdown debut, in a backstage segment with RAW’s Eugene.

– Great Khali defeated RAW’s Eugene by pinfall after the KHALI CHOP and KHALI CHOKE.

– Batista defeated World Heavyweight Champion Edge by pinfall in a non-title match after the Batista Bomb.
