DreamWorks and Peter Jackson have teamed up to present the film adaptation of a best-selling novel entitled The Lovely Bones, and now they have their two stars.
Rachel Weisz was named sometime back as the lead and Ryan Gosling is now set to star opposite her in the film. Bones will begin lensing in October in Pennsylvania and then later on in New Zealand.
The film tells the story from Alice Sebold’s novel about a young girl who has been brutally murdered. Now watching from up above in Heaven, she keeps a watchful eye on not only her family but also her killer. The girl must weight both sides of the coin and determine which the better option is; vengeance or the healing of her family. Gosling will play the girl’s father while Weisz will play her mother.
Jackson and DreamWorks are aiming for a release sometime late next year.
