Some afternoon news & notes:

– PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson is reporting that TNA has been in meetings with the Fox network (not Fox-owned MyNetworkTV as originally thought) for what might end up being a multi-network deal. We’ll have more on this as the story develops.

– The San Diego Union-Tribune has a story on WWE’s upcoming July 4 house show in Tijuana, featuring Rey Mysterio’s in-ring return in the main event, partnering with John Cena and Bobby Lashley to take on Umaga, Randy Orton and King Booker.

– Due to the Mexico trip, WWE is taping all three shows this week on Monday, with RAW, Smackdown and ECW holding a “Supershow” event.

– According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Finlay was off TV and house shows for a few weeks this month after asking for some time off.

– Heat this week is a special “John Cena edition” — found here — featuring matches from Wrestlemania 21 (vs. JBL), Royal Rumble 2006 (vs. Edge), Wrestlemania 22 (vs. HHH) and the June 4, 2007 RAW (vs. Umaga and Khali).

– WWE.com’s latest Where are they now? on Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart.

– Matt Sydal is scheduled for the TNA tapings this Monday, according to PWInsider.com.
