When a film is created that is set in an alternate universe’s United States, it is bound to be difficult to get all the characters you’d need for the film. But director Zack Snyder and his crew are working on getting all they can.

The LA Daily News is reporting that the casting crew is facing a huge task in trying to get as many look-a-likes as they may need to make the film work.

A challenging casting task involving look-alikes is under way for Warner Bros.’ “Watchmen” adaptation of Alan Moore’s 1980s graphic novel set in an alternative universe’s United States. Names include Richard Nixon, Henry Kissinger, H.R. Haldeman, Ted Koppel, John McLaughlin, Annie Liebowitz, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Fidel Castro, Albert Einstein, Norman Rockwell, JFK and Jackie Kennedy, Andy Warhol, Mao Tze Tung and Larry King.

Snyder (300) is directing but no cast members have yet been officially announced although many rumors have circling including Thomas Jane (The Punisher) and Keanu Reeves (The Matrix). Although the latter may already be a rumor dead in the water.

Stay tuned as more will come to you as we get it.
