Health Coverage in ROH Contracts? Plus More Newsbits…

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com has reported, with regards to Ring of Honor’s talent contracts, “the ROH deals are pretty much two year deals with many of the talents receiving health coverage as part of the deal.” When asked by Pulse Wrestling, a Ring of Honor spokesperson had no comment on the health coverage aspect of the contracts. If this is indeed true, especially with all of the recent buzz around how WWE and TNA workers’ health, this is a major story and a very positive break from ‘the norm’ in the industry.

Johnson also reports that the Aries deal was negotiated between ROH and TNA to come to terms that allowed for TNA’s “Austin Starr” to be signed by the promotion in which he first made a name for himself. Johnson also writes that he is under the impression talent that signed with ROH got small pay raises as well.

On the other side of the wrestling world, Hulk Hogan’s hoping to bring people together that have been feuding, according to the New York Post. Uhm…

Also, Jim Ross talks about quite a bit in his latest blog entry, including the return of Lilian Garcia, wrestlers who’ve been on TV lately and more.

WWE.com has posted a story that Flair and Finlay have never gone head-to-head (I guess not counting the Money in the Bank last year) here.
