Even though he has since devoted his life to the theatrical stage, Kevin Spacey would love to once again play the role of the evil genius Lex Luthor.
Director Bryan Singer recently met up with Spacey in New York as Singer was preparing to pitch his Superman: Man of Steel film to Warner Bros. Michael Dougherty who penned Superman Returns is currently working on the script for the sequel.
Even with his prior commitments to the stage, Spacey has not given up altogether on acting in films. He is hoping to be able to shoot his part in the sequel in a six-week time period as he did with the first film.
“My priorities have changed. Theater is the No. 1 thing in my life. But I love movies and will continue to make movies when I can,” said Spacey in a recent interview.
