It’s been almost ten years since the aliens were among us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find out more about them with our two favorite agents.
David Duchovny was in Los Angeles recently at the Showtime Television Critic’s Association event and was plugging his new show, but also to give some information on Mulder and Scully coming back.
The details were sketchy but from what Duchovny said, it would seem that a second film is almost virtually a lock. He said that he should be getting the script sometime next week and that it would be written by Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz who were two of the main writers for the show and first film.
Duchovny said that Gillian Anderson (Agent Scully) is already on board for the film and they are aiming for a release sometime next year.
None of this has been confirmed, so take it very lightly until more is known.
