Giovanni Ribisi, Tim Roth, Lili Taylor, and Jim Broadbent were already signed on for the fantasy comedy, but now they will be joined by Jason Lee and Brittany Murphy.
David Michaels will direct the film which is being released under the Myriad Pictures’ banner. Diane Isaacs will produce while Myriad head Kirk D’Amico is executive producing. Lensing will begin sometime in November in Nova Scotia.
David Michaels and Phil Reeves have written the script for The Other Side which centers around a grad student (Murphy) who needed to get a summer job. Her job ends up being on a remote northern island at a scientific institute. There she discovers an eccentric community of characters who are hiding a secret. Their secret covers up a horrible tragedy that happened many years ago.
No release date has been announced but it can be expected probably late next year or early 2009.
