Months ago it was said that David Koepp would be handling all the writing of the script for the fourth installment in the Spider-Man franchise. Koepp wrote the script for the first film and this would have given a familiar touch to it, but it appears that isn’t to be.
Sam Raimi says that they are still searching for a writer for the film which is in its earliest possible stages and that he would still like to be a part of the fourth film.
“I want to help contribute to the production. I don’t know if I’ll just be a producer on it but if I can work with the writer in such a way so that directing would be right for me, I don’t know. We’ve had our first meeting on Spider-Man 4 and we’re looking for the writer,” said Raimi.
No real confirmation yet on whether stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and others will return either but we’ll get you more as we do.
