USA Network posted the following on its Web site today:

BREAKING NEWS: MR. MCMAHON RETURNS MONDAY

After a prolonged absence, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon will be appearing at the start of RAW this Monday at 9/8C on USA Network.

USA’s official RAW page is here, and for WWE.com’s early RAW preview — which states that “This Monday night, live on Raw at 9/8 CT on USA Network, Mr. McMahon strikes back.” — click here.

WWE has seen RAW’s ratings decrease lately, with last week’s 3.4 considered low, let alone the drop in this past Monday’s show to 2.5 that we reported earlier. Apparently, though, the rating might not have been as low as a 2.5, with PWTorch.com reporting today that the “Neilson Research ratings company has contacted a number of customers, including WWE, about a potential error in this week’s ratings, a source tells PWTorch.”

That being said, WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that the WWE Creative team is under a lot of stress and there are meetings today and tomorrow to talk about how to turn RAW’s ratings around. The site’s owner Dave Meltzer says that Vince is encouraging out of the box ideas, and PWInsider.com’s Dave Scherer is reporting that, according to his sources, “Vince realizes many of his people have been writing to ‘please him’ and … he is finally said to be ready to listen to ideas that don’t conform to his cookie cutter way of presenting WWE.” Let’s hope this is true.
