A big thanks to Jon Kirschner for sending this in!

Match 1: Jigsaw, Shane Storm, Tim Donst, and Moscow beat Ultramantis Black, Justin Reed, Shawn Reed, and Chris Styles in an 8-Man pre-show match up

This was as fun as if it were to be on a card, as everyone gave the most they could. Tim Donst seems to have an Amateur Wrestler’s gimmick and he has a good hybrid style of wrestling, that being a mat wrestler and technical. Moscow, though communist AND from Russia, went over huge with the crowd and got a lot of MOOS. His cow-kick and spear are gorgeous! Donst and Moscow did the “Kurt Angle Singlet pulldown” and executed a double ankle lock! The match ended with Jigsaw giving what he does best, a SuperKick to Justin Reed.

Match 2: Los Ice Creams beat Jagged and Shane Mathews (2.0)

This saw Los Ice Creams getting their third and final point needed to face Team F.I.S.T. for the Campeones De Parejas. Awesome opener to the show, just the right amount of both comedy and wrestling. El Hijo Del Ice Cream pulled off one of the prettiest Cold-Stone stunners EVER on both Jagged and Shane Mathews. I thought that would be enough to put them away but it took a 2-on-1 pin after the Los Ice Cream’s “Especial” to get the fall. Expect to see the main event of FIST –vs- Los Ice Creams in the very near future.

Match 3: Ricochet beat Eddie Kingston after Kingston kicked Ricochet below the belt for the DQ

This was a good match showing how pissed off Kingston is at the world. He couldn’t have gotten a better opponent either. This was a good match with lots of pops from the crowd. Kingston actually cut Ricochet’s chest with crazy Kobashi-Style chops in the corner. Ricochet got off some nice looking dives to the outside and corkscrew moves off the top rope, but it was Kingston doing the domination. It actually looked as if Ricochet was on a roll and about to win, but King kicked Ricochet below the belt to get disqualified. But the bell didn’t stop King from sending a message to Leonard Chikarason. Kingston started yelling at Chikarason saying “Team FIST get the Briscoe Brothers and I don’t get ****!”. He claims he helped build the company, and deserves more. He got a Hallowicked mask and put it on Ricochet and started beating the crap out of him before being sent to the back.

Match 4: Shayne Hawk defeated Billy Roc

This was a match that really did not impress me much. There were too many blown spots and slow chain-wrestling for me not to pick up a soda. A few good hurricanranas here and there but nothing great.

Match 5: Sara Del Ray defeated Daizee Haze in a 2/3 Falls match

This was probably one of the most entertaining women’s matches I have ever watched, live or on tape. Haze won the first fall with a rana. Fall two spilled to the outside real quick. Haze got thrown into the guardrail and it looked and sounded like she got impaled it looked horrible. Del Ray went over with a rollup to tie it up. Del Ray took it all when she pinned Haze after the Butterfly Cradleplex.

Mathc 6: Los Deliriosos (Delirious, Cheech, Cloudy) defeated The Colony

This was the funniest match of the night. Great Lucha action with lots of comedy. Fire Ant went on a fireman’s carry spree and gave one to Cheech, Cloudy, Delirious, Worker Ant, Solider Ant, and even Bryce the ref. Deliriosos went over here after Delirious executed the Shadows over Hell and the Bizarro Driver.

Match 7: La Parkita defeated Del Futuro

This match DID NOT go over big, like it was supposed to. Del Futuro is as tall as Rey Mysterio, defiantly not a midget, or tiny person. If I gave ratings, this would have gotten a DUD, no doubt about it. It was just a bunch of arm-drag, dancing, and mis-comunication. La Parkita got on the microphone in the middle of the match and spoke some Spanglish to the crowd, but he was wearing a mask, so nobody understood him. I think it ended up with an ugly rollup, all I have in my notes is “Thank God It’s Over”.

Match 8: Chuck Taylor retained the Young Lions Cup Trophy when he beat Drake Younger with the Awful Waffle

Drake went over big in the New Alhambra/ECW Arena. Chuck Taylor delivers the BEST dropkicks in the “biz”. Better than Maven’s. Drake took it to the ringside where we would think he has the advantage, but Chucky T always finds a way to get on top. Chuck executed a sick belly to belly suplex on the bare arena floor. I expected more fan interaction, but nonetheless, awesome match. Chuck gave Younger the Awful Waffle for the finish. After the match, Younger says he’ll come back to CHIKARA to get the Young Lions Cup.

Match 9: Lince Dorado and El Pantera defeated the Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero)

Whenver you put Lince Dorado and the Kings of Wrestling in the ring, you know you are about to watch something good. This match was full of awesome lucha action. Lince Dorado is improving more and more as time grows, and he is becoming one of my favorites in CHIKARA. The finish saw El Pantera make Hero submit to the CHIKARA Special.

Match 10: Quackenbush beat Black Tiger to retain his NWA Jr. Heavyweight Title

The match started quick when Quack dropkicked Tiger to the knees. It looked as if he was wrestling a little bit dirty, even considering taking off Black Tiger’s mask. He was tempted seeing how that’s how he got the title in the first place (by removing Tiger Mask IV’s mask). Quack introduced some new submission moves during this match that blew my mind. One was a double ankle lock, and I’ll get to the other in a second. Black Tiger took Quack out with a Tiger Suplex, and Quack kicked out with a big pop. Quack then made Black Tiger submit to a Russian Leg Sweep roll into a Leg Stretch. It was a beautiful ending to a good match.

Match 11 Team FIST (Gran Akuma and Icarus) beat The Briscoe Brothers

This was a great match. I was expecting the two teams to not mesh well at all, but they mixed together amazingly. Jay Briscoe did his knee drop right on Icarus’ nose, and the only thing I thought was that his nose is broken. I can’t believe Icarus hasn’t been called to Ring of Honor yet. I hope that after this match he does, because Team FIST would totally work in Ring of Honor. The Briscoe Bros. were favorites to win the match up until Icarus countered the Doomsday Device with a reverse frankensteiner. FIST got the win after a rollup by pulling the tights. After the match, Akuma got mad at Icarus for something. Akuma walked to the back, alone, without his strap.

The Inside Pulse
Recommendation for DVD- 8 out of 10. This is too much of a fun show to pass up on. Maximum Overdraft should be available on www.smartmarkvideo.com in a week or so.
