SKTV: Big Brother 8

Shows

Good lord, this game is becoming a trainwreck. And that’s a good thing after the relatively dull start.

First of all, whoever did the flyover with the banner is an evil genius on the level of Dr. Will, because the game is now totally thrown into disarray and CBS’s plans to mess with the game from the outside have been messed up by someone on the outside. Ironic, no?

Speaking of ironic, Amber should probably learn that if you’re going to swear on your children’s lives about a lie you didn’t tell, you should probably make sure you didn’t actually tell that lie.

Speaking of lies and the lying liars who tell them, Eric’s moral outrage at Dick’s attacks, although justified on a personal level, are somewhat offset by the fact that HE DID EXACTLY WHAT HE CLAIMED HE’S NOT. There’s a time to shut up, and the past few days should have been it. Had he just blown off the “liar” thing, it’s doubtful that Tweedle Daniele and Tweedle Daddy would have pieced together the Da Vinci Code-like mystery of the Second Vote by themselves. I liked Eric and thought the AP thing was a fun twist, but he just totally talked himself out of the game on Sunday’s show and he should be gone by Thursday. And THEN the producers will be pissed, lemme tell ya. I think his best chance for survival is to come clean and forfeit his $10,000 and hope for the best with the Nerd Herd.

Is Zach even in the game any longer?

I do think it’s hilarious that they nominate Jen and Kail every week because they’re afraid to go after anyone in their precious LNC, but can’t get the job done on either one. Eventually, if they keep backdooring hapless matyrs like Nick, the misfit crew will have enough votes to strike back, and then they’re f*cked.

In general, Dick’s rather disturbing fascist groupthink is beginning to annoy, but I still find him an entertaining player so I hope he sticks around. But really, it’s a game about ONE person winning $500,000, not seven people splitting it up. Who gives a shit if someone votes against the Alliance? It’s not Soviet Russia, people have freewill. Hell, if a couple of people get sick enough of the crap being slung by D&D and switch to the other side, the majority instantly changes with it.

Thank you Jameka for not talking about how “God is gangsta” or making bible references in this episode. Or saying much at all, really.

I’m hoping after they get this Eric crap out of their system, they’ll target the real threat to everyone’s sanity: Amber. Give her something to cry about!

More on Tuesday.
