RAW Rating for August 6, 2007

News, Ratings

According to Nielsen Media Research by way of PWTorch.com, last night’s RAW scored a 3.80 cable rating, with hours of 3.67 and 3.94.

This is up from the three straight weeks of 3.4s (tied for the nine-year low for this time of year), followed by last week’s 2.5 (although last week’s rating was artificially low due to an error on Nielsen’s side, according to reports).

Since getting a 3.2 on Memorial Day (holiday ratings are usually low), RAW scored a 3.8 cable rating or higher from June 4 through the Chris Benoit tribute show on June 25, with two of those shows (6/25, which was originally scheduled as a tribute to the kayfabed death of Mr. McMahon, and the 6/11 draft/Mr. McMahon appreciation night) being three-hour events. In fact, if you just look at June ratings for the normal RAW timeslot beginning at 9pm ET, ratings were a 4 or higher for three weeks in a row. Needless to say, WWE is starting August off on the right foot if they hope to get back to those numbers for the rest of the summer.
