Steve Martin will reprise his role in the sequel and is joined by a whole cast of new actors. It seems the film made enough money worldwide to merit a sequel despite numerous negative reviews.
The sequel will have Martin returning as Inspector Clouseau and is joined by a host of new detectives Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina, and Aishwarya Rai. John Cleese is also coming on board and will take the role of Chief Inspector Dreyfus. Clouseau and the group of private eyes will work together to catch a thief that has been stealing precious artifacts from around the world.
Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer are also returning from the first film.
The Pink Panther 2 is scheduled for release on February 13, 2009.
