As we get into the 330’s, we come to five moments in the Top 400 that consist of a proclamation of someone’s sister, a bottle of wine biting the dust, an actress being calmed down, a box of toys being thrown out and terms being set on making good on a bet. #340-336 in the Top 400 moments of The L Word!

#340 – My Sister Is Gay (Lesson Number One)

Shane, Paige and Principal Peterson have setup a parent-teacher conference to discuss tolerance. It’s had its moments, but the one that’s remembered most comes from Shay, Shane’s 9 year old little brother who announces very calmly and matter of factly that her sister is gay. It’s a moment that furthers the bond between the MacCutcheon siblings and eventually opens up the rest of the room in admitting relatives that they have that are homosexual as well.

#339 – Crash The Wine (Luck, Next Time)

The whole dinner was just a tormenting experience for Jenny and quite possibly for Marina as well, with Francesca asserting her dominance in the triangle at all times. It’s made a bit more clear that Francesca more or less owns Marina, but they allow one another trysts with other women. Jenny and Marina however falling in love, which complicates matters…not to mention Jenny being married to Tim. Francesca leaves momentarily, offering Jenny and Marina a chance to engage in a kiss, only for Francesca to walk in on them. Once again, Francesca makes her dominance in the triangle felt, causing Jenny to leave with her bottle of wine. Once outside the house, Jenny launches the bottle against the window, shattering the bottle in the process.

#338 – One Crazy Bitch (Lynch Pin)

Lynch Pin is an introductory episode in Season 2 for major and minor characters alike. Among them is Veronica Bloom, a media giant producer and someone who never appears to be in a good mood. Production of a movie is being held up, because the lead actress is not happy. People are quitting over the stress and no one is able to get near the starlet. Veronica is ready to pounce, but before she can do anything, Shane arrives to fix up the actress’s hair. Shane’s words are calming, knowing exactly what to say and at what tone. Veronica considers Shane to have a special gift in communication, but takes offense to Shane referring to Veronica to the actress as, “one crazy bitch.” Veronica demands to meet up with the hair girl as soon as possible, asking with a sneer, “Who are you calling a crazy bitch…?”

#337 – Not That Box (Lost Weekend)

Janice is tidying up Alice’s apartment when she comes across Alice’s shrine to Dana. Helena walks in and notices the shrine, freaking out. Alice walks in as Helena begins demanding that everything be taken down, considering it unhealthy for Alice to be like this towards her ex-girlfriend. Everything must go, even the sex toys that Alice and Dana had used on each other while together, all of which are in a box. “Not that box,” pleads Alice, but it must go. The one thing that gets to stay is the lifesize cutout of Dana. It’s for Alice’s own good, with Helena there to help out her friend.

#336 – Catherine’s Terms (Luck Be A Lady)

Losing money one doesn’t have in the first is usually not wise. Helena discovers this the hard way. Papi had warned Helena earlier that the, “House always wins,” and when all is said and done, Catherine tells Helena that she should have listened to her friend. It’s revealed that Catherine knows Peggy, Helena’s mother and even had dinner with her recently. She also knows of Helena’s financial peril at the moment and offers her a way to make good on her debt. Catherine gives her the key to her apartment, letting her known when to be there. “There’s more than one way to pay off a debt.”
