Even a book about the world’s worst dog can be made into a feature film and showcase some of Hollywood’s top stars.
Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson are set to star in Marley & Me which will be an adaptation of John Grogan’s best-selling novel. David Frankel is set to direct the film off a script that is being written by Scott Frank. Gil Netter and Karen Rosenfelt are producing and shooting is set to begin early next year.
The story is that of a yellow Labrador retriever named Marley that was adopted by Grogan and his wife. They were hoping to get a leg up on parenthood by caring for the dog, but Marley turned out to be much more then they expected. Marley ends tearing up the house, getting kicked out of obedience school, and becomes even worse once kids come into their life. Yet they could never get rid of him because he is family.
Wilson and Aniston will more then likely play the roles of Grogan and his wife.
