According to Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver.com, the recently suspended Jeff Hardy should be back in action for WWE in a week’s time.

There’s an article at Metromix chronicling the various successes of cable TV over the past few decades, including professional wrestling shows.

WWE.com has a SummerSlam Special column written by Jim Ross. Among other things, he appears to finally be losing patience with Shelton Benjamin.

Recently released Sylvan Grenier made some interesting comments about his WWE tenure in a ClubWWI.com interview. According to a recap that can be found at PWInsider.com, he said “From talent relations and the agents, the communication was just not right. I got into an argument with one of the agents and that was pretty much it. And I was very sick of it and I made some phone calls the week before I was released. I asked some advice from some of my friends who quit or got released and asked what my option was because I never worked the Indy scene before. I was not happy in what I was doing and I know I have a lot to bring to this business but maybe I did it the wrong way or I didn’t listen right. But maybe I need to get away for a while and do something else. Do my own thing. Do the Indy Scene. Have fun. Love wrestling again. Because I love wrestling. I love this job. It’s just the backstage scene. I’m not a political guy. I can not deal with politics backstage.” Well then I hope you have a Kurt Angle fanclub badge to wear, kid.

CNN has the transcript of Nancy Grace’s discussion with Joanie ‘Chyna’ Laurer, Marc Mero and others up on their website. You can also see the complete letter WWE sent to Congress in this PDF.

The Forest Lake Times has an interview with Molly Holly up here… hopefully, it’s down at the moment…

Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio appeared on Fox News today. He said he had never taken steroids and any investigations would show that all he takes is pain medication. As many other WWE guys have done, he said today’s wrestlers were a different breed from those of previous generations. Brian Kilmeade brought up Kurt Angle being four times the size he was in the Olympics being a Dr Phil Astin patient, though Mysterio didn’t respond. He did say the wrestlers are there to entertain and plugged SummerSlam. Mysterio brought up his six knee operations as his reason for the pain medication from Dr Astin. He said that although Chris Benoit was a very close friend he never knew that he took steroids as they never discussed the subject. Mysterio seemed uncomfortable when the steroids subject was brought up. It should be noted that reports have already uncovered Dr David Wilbirt in Phoenix, Arizona, prescribing Stanozolol and Nandralone to Oscar Gutierrez. (Credit: WrestlingObserver.com)

Finally, Anchorwoman (what?) with Lauren Jones (who?) has been cancelled after one episode. Okay.
