The remake of Disney’s Witch Mountain may have just gotten a little eyebrow-raising cooler.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is currently in negotiations to star in the re-imagining of the Disney classic Escape From Which Mountain that released in 1975. Matt Lopez has written the script for the film which will be directed by Andy Fickman.
The story of Witch Mountain takes two siblings that have the gift of extreme paranormal powers. When their secret is found out; they end up on the run from a group of diabolical men wishing to exploit them. The Rock would play the role of a Las Vegas cab driver in for one long ride after he picks up the duo.
No other casting has been announced yet and Disney is aiming for a 2008 filming start date.
