Tattoos can tell many different stories so Zack Snyder is stepping in to tell his. Or at least the remake of his.

Warner Bros. has signed Snyder to direct and produce the remake of the 1969 film The Illustrated Man. The film is based off of a collection of short stories from Ray Bradbury. Rod Steiger starred in the original with co-star Clair Bloom.

The Illustrated Man is a story narrated by a mysterious man with tattoos all over his body. The tattoos have lives of their own and end up telling the future by enacting what may happen.

No word yet on any possible casting or start date, but we’ll get you more as we do.
