According to an article on gossip site TMZ.com, Nick Bollea brags in a yet-to-be-published article in Rides Magazine about his Yellow Supra and getting away with going over 100 due to his celebrity, although a PWTorch recap of a Fox Tampa report says that the reporter who interviewed Nick claims he wasn’t bragging.

He was, however, racing the day before crash according to a report in the NY Post, which has also published several related photos, including a chilling image of the wrecked car.

TMZ.com has been posting regular updates on this story, including items on video of a cop warning Nick about speeding, a prayer vigil for and messages from Nick and Brooke about John Graziano, who remains in critical condition. We of course also send our thoughts to John and his family, hoping he has a full recovery.

– In his latest MySpace blog post, Rob Van Dam says, “I talked to Maxim magazine about the facts involving wrestlers dying so young. This subject is talked about much, and brought up a lot because it happens so often. It seems that when it simmers down, there’s new justified reason to talk about it because there goes another wrestler. It’s been that way for a long time. Anyway, I believe this should be in the December issue.” That’s only the wrestling-related part of the blog entry; the rest is about women, MySpace posers and more.

– Matt Hardy has updated his as well, with info on an upcoming live appearance with his brother Jeff on Long Island.

– There’s an interesting article on wrestling and video games on MTV.com.

– Monday’s RAW did a 3.2 cable rating on SciFi and a 1.0 for the replay on USA (last year, the US Open-displaced RAW did a combined 3.9 vs. this year’s 4.2). ECW rating was a 1.3. (Credit: Nielsen Media Research by way of WrestlingObserver.com).

– WWE announced today that its next Tribute to the Troops special will air on December 24 on the USA Network.

– CORRECTED: WWE has not signed Johnny The Bull Stamboli after a tryout, despite a premature announcement made at Tuesday’s Impact Zone Wrestling event in Arizona, according to PWInsider. They are indeed interested, and he will be touring with the company in somewhat of an extended tryout. The site also reports that Florida indy ring announcer Bryan Kelly “is said to have” signed a developmental deal.

– WWE is about to tour South Africa, so Smackdown will be taped on Saturday in Cincinnati, OH while RAW will be taped Sunday in Columbus, OH.
