DRAGON STILL HEADED FOR PUERTO RICO

Charlotte, NC (August 30, 2007) – Since the announcement of “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce replacing “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson in the NWAâ„¢ Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match against “Shooter” Brent Albright this Saturday in Puerto Rico, there has been major concern from everyone with the National Wrestling Alliance® regarding “Scrap Iron’s” long time Manager C. Edward Vanderpyle. The NWAâ„¢ Members/Promoters are so concerned that the board held an emergency Board Meeting was held last night and the decision was made to appoint Danielson as a Special Enforcer Referee to prevent any interference.

“The Danielson decision was an easy one to make. I have seen Pearce win many matches because of his Manager, but not this time, not in Puerto Rico” said NWAâ„¢ Director Dave Republic. When reached for comment this morning, Danielson was very pleased with the decision and made this statement:

“I am very excited to be allowed to participate in the finals. I had a great time over the past few month fighting in this tournament and I so wanted to win the NWAâ„¢ Worlds Championship in Puerto Rico. But, do you know what? I will do the best of my ability to keep order, be fair and uphold the respect that the title deserves. Also, I want to wish both Brent and Adam much luck because when I return to a full schedule I will be the first man knocking on their door. Dig that!”

NWAâ„¢ Executive Director Robert K. Trobich summarized his take on the decision; ” I’m pleased that the Directors made this decision to add Danielson as the Special Enforcer Referee and I know that he will do a good job keeping everything clean. Additionally, I am pleased that “Dragon” was cleared to come to Puerto Rico, he deservers to be a part of this history making event and I for one can’t wait for his full medical release and become active in the ring again.”
