Remote Destination – Fall Behind

The first season of 30 Rock comes out on dvd on Tuesday and I really want to buy it. I love the show; I think it’s probably one of the best shows on television and certainly one of the best on NBC. The problem is that I know I’ll never get around to watching it.

Y’see, I’ve got tons of TV to watch. I’m backlogged that you probably wouldn’t believe. I’m pretty sure that I’ve got episodes of The Office from two seasons ago that I’ve not watched, and I know I’ve got episodes from last season collecting dust.

And I’ve got plenty of shows on dvd waiting for me to crack open. I’ve got the majority of the 1967 Spider-man cartoon to watch. I’ve also the tail end of The Simpsons season 8 and all of season 9 to watch (and season 10 was recently released.) Plus I’ve got the third and fourth volumes of Futurama just sitting around. And that’s just cartoons.

You want live action? Done. Four seasons of Newsradio, the first season of Barney Miller and the entire The Tick series are in the queue. I’m also working my way though the final seasons of both Homicide: Life on the Street and Arrested Development. But the only reason I haven’t finished off those is because I really don’t want those two great series to end.

Of course there are even more series that I’ve been meaning to pick up. I really want to get Kitchen Confidential because I loved the few episodes that FOX did air. The same with The Loop, which somehow managed to make it two season two, though on the first is on dvd. And of course I’m definitely trying to support It’s Always Sunny if Philadelphia. I’m not even going to get into the dramas that want to add to my collection.

But I really can’t find the time to watch the TV that I want to. The new tv season is right around the corner and I’m still not quite done with last season. I really don’t know how I’m to make it through.

So the next time you’re wondering “man, when is he doing to write anther Remote Destination” just pretend I’m watching one of my numerous shows on dvds.
