Carlos Colon has been in touch with WWE about setting up a developmental territory in his WWC promotion. He already handles local promotion when they come to Puerto Rico.

Jim Ross’ one-year contract expires next month.

Daniel Rodimer’s release from his developmental deal came as a surprise to many, since, for various reasons, John Cena, Stephanie McMahon, Kevin Dunn, John Laurinaitis and even Vince McMahon all liked him and thought he could be a big star. After he was cut from the 2004 edition of Tough Enough they tried to sign him but he turned the offer down as he already had a lucrative real estate career. Nearly 18 months later, after Laurinaitis kept trying, Rodimer finally signed a developmental deal for an above-average salary. At one point he was due to be brought up in a ‘Diesel’ role for Rated RKO but the plan was scrapped as they felt he was not ready. At a recent house show he even replaced Randy Orton in the main event to face John Cena. However, after 13 months of developmental training, Rodimer grew disillusioned and asked for his release. Due to his slow progress, WWE did not try all that hard to keep him.

John Laurinaitis and Mike Bucci were both at an indy show on the 25th August to see Sid Vicious in action. He is after one final run in WWE and was said to be in great shape.

Ashley is rumoured to be the second person cut from Survivor, only lasting six days in total.

Sylvain Grenier said he had an argument with an agent prior to his release from WWE, as he had been unhappy that his new gimmick, with Maryse as his manager, had been scrapped so quickly. Grenier’s main supporter backstage was, surprise, surprise, Pat Patteron, yet as Patterson is not on the road that much nowadays there was nobody to speak on his behalf and so they ditched him.

Speaking to the Baltimore Sun, Queen Sharmell said that her husband loves the King Booker character and uses the voice at home “almost every other second”.

Batista got into an argument with a fan at the 28th August tapings. When heading to the back after his match a fan at ringside yelled that Batista can’t work but he does suck. Batista turned around and asked who said it, then got into the fan’s face when the fan took credit. They yelled things like “You’re a f*cking bitch” and “You can’t wrestle” at one another before security got involved. Batista called him a bitch once again and walked off.
