Of note, from the various above stories as well as a WrestlingObserver.com report on the press conference that Michael Benoit and SLG held today: Chris Benoit’s father read his son’s diary (up until this point, there had been no reports that the diary had been found, but according to the AP story, Michael Benoit said, “After reading the diary, I would have thought it was written by someone who was extremely disturbed at the time.”). No litigation against WWE or anyone else has been decided on. Chris Nowinski, president of the SLG, is still affiliated with WWE (particularly the Smackdown Your Vote campaign), but WWE was not made aware of the study’s findings ahead of time. We have sent emails to WWE, as well as TNA Wrestling and Ring of Honor, but ROH declined to comment and we have yet to receive responses from the other organizations.
