More on Batista, Austin, Regal, Hart

Steve Austin gave WWE talent a backstage speech before SummerSlam but it did not go down very well. Firstly, despite his customary attire, he said that they dressed like slobs in public and should instead present themselves as professionals. Secondly, he said that he made only $200,000 in his first year with the company, despite many workers in the dressing room earning only between $50-75,000. Thirdly, he said that the company now has no superstars so somebody should step up and become one. He brought up his initial stint as The Ringmaster as a reference point but not how it was sheer dumb luck that got him a proper push in the first place.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Teddy Hart has been telling people that he is starting on Smackdown in a few weeks time.

Further to the earlier story about Batista getting into an altercation with an aggressive fan at ringside following a recent match, it seems that at the same show he seen a pretty woman in the crowd as well and spent a good long while rubbing his face between her breasts. If he did the thumbs-up thing whilst doing it then he is officially worthy of DAVE status again.

Also, the Unforgiven Smackdown title match was originally meant to be Khali vs Batista. It was changed to Khali vs Mysterio because Vince McMahon felt that Batista had gotten so many title shots that in his next one he would have to get the title. However, he also didn’t want Batista to have a long title run just now and felt that a short reign would only harm him. Of course, the match has since been changed again to Khali vs Mysterio vs Batista.

In an interview with the Sunshine Coast Daily in Australia, William Regal said that when his career was over he would like to return to England and do a comedy show.
