It’s Saturday, and we’ve got lots of random news to get you through the weekend:

– Last week’s (8/31) Smackdown did a 2.3 broadcast rating, and Thursday’s TNA iMPACT! did a 1.03 (down from last week’s 1.05) cable rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. (Credit: PWInsider)

– Wait! PWTorch is reporting that TNA’s rating went up from last week, scoring a 1.2 rating, with 1.5 million viewers. WrestlingObserver.com initially reported a 1.2, but then corrected the report saying it was indeed a 1.0.

– Christian Cage is in Shoot Em Up which opened last night, starring Clive Owen. He’s credited as Jayson Reso. (Credit: WrestlingObserver.com)

– Kevin Nash’s movie DOA comes out on DVD Tuesday. (Credit: PWInsider)

– There’s a story on the latest WWE developmental signee Sheamus O’Shaunessy at the UK Sun.

– A source within TNA says that the Israel trip is being planned but is not finalized, and there was an error with the local ticketing agency re: a November 15 show going on sale already. (Credit: PWInsider)

– HBK and HHH visited OVW this week, talking to the roster, giving suggestions for the latest TV show, and sticking around to watch the taping, while not being stand-offish but rather being very helpful. (Credit: PWInsider)

– WWE Developmental Territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, will be holding two more events in New Port Richey. The first is on Saturday September 15th at the Jewish Community Center, 9841 Scenic Drive at 7:30pm. Wrestler appearance information will be made available soon. On Tuesday September 25th at 8pm Bourbon Street Night Club will be hosting a charity event for the SPCA called “Wrestling for Whiskers”. This event is being setup by S.O.S. (Save our Sandbar Foundation). Doors open at 6:30 all proceeds go to the Pasco Humane Society. The show starts at 8:00 PM.
