It has been years now since Edward Norton and Brad Pitt starred on screen “together” in Fight Club so its due time they team up again.
Universal Pictures is adapting a British miniseries for the film State Of Play which will have Norton and Pitt in the lead roles. Michael Carnahan is writing the script and Kevin MacDonald will direct.
Norton will play a congressman whose speedy political rise is threatened by an investigation into the death of his mistress. Pitt plays a politico-turned-journalist whose relationship with the solon is compromised when he oversees his newspaper’s investigation into the murder and develops a relationship with the Norton’s character’s estranged wife.
There is no release date, but Norton will begin filming his parts for State Of Play as soon as he wraps up The Incredible Hulk due out next summer.
