According to Dave Meltzer, Samoa Joe is continuing to reject TNA’s offers of a contract extension.
In other news from the most recent Observer, Shelly Martinez, formerly Ariel in ECW, is now advertising herself as a woman with 34DD breasts who men can pay for her to wrestle them.
Lex Luger spoke about Miss Elizabeth’s death at a church in Macon, GA, last week. He said that she was trying to keep up with his heavy partying lifestyle. “People say, ‘Did you kill her?’ I might as well have put a gun to her head.”
The woman from Edmonton mentioned in the National Enquirer story, who claims that she had a daughter with Chris Benoit 16 years ago, is named Lilian Smolic. She was known for being with a lot of wrestlers in the area. Her daughter, Lindsay Ingram, has been seen at nearby independent shows claiming to be Benoit’s daughter.
Rob Van Dam has approached a local indy group in southern California about doing some work with them, since he lives nearby and wouldn’t have to go on the road.
Speaking of CA-based indies, following up to last week’s story about Alex Shelley working the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla shows, apparently Bill Behrens booked him to work the show, but he can’t appear on any commercially distributed DVDs. TNA wants PWG to sign an agreement similar to those other indies have, which would allow DVDs with TNA talen tto be sold at house shows and online, but not through other parties or at stores.
Kurt Angle was telling people that Lesnar-to-TNA wasn’t happening due to Brock being close to signing with UFC.
