Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 2008 during the middle of an immense three-day heat wave just before the huge Fourth of July celebration. An action star is suddenly stricken with amnesia and meets up with an aspiring adult film star who is developing her own reality show. Joining them is a Hermosa Beach police officer that may hold the key to a vast conspiracy and the answer to everything.
