MATCHES:

ATLAS DABONE VS. ANTONI POLASKI

SCOTT CARDINAL VS. DERRICK NEIKIRK

CHRIS CAGE & DIRTY MONEY VS. THE MAJOR BROTHERS

ACE STEEL VS. RAUL LOCO

VLADIMIR KOZLOV VS. JARROD SLONE
OVW TELEVISION TITLE MATCH:
SHAWN SPEARS (Champ) VS. MANBEAST

As the show began, Dean and Kenny announced that a new OVW Women’s Champ has been named – Team America’s own Roucka! In the footage shown of the match, ODB had cleared the ring of all the other women participating, only for Roucka to sneak up behind a celebrating ODB and throw her back into a pin for the win!

OVW Troubleshooter Al Snow took to the ring at the beginning of the show to announce that, because of The James Boys’ actions against OVW referee Goose Mahoney last week, they have been fined and indefinitely suspended! To Snow’s surprise, Terminal Velocity came out looking frustrated, even though they had already won the OVW Southern Tag-Team Titles from The James Boys. Steve Lewington told Al that they felt that they hadn’t had a chance to properly deal with the Boys yet after all that they’ve been through with them.

Al tried calming them down, only to be interrupted by a newly-cropped-haircut Goose Mahoney! Al pointed out again that he suspended and fined them for what they did, but Goose wasn’t happy with that. “Money doesn’t matter to them,” Goose responded. “Suspend them? They’ll just treat it like a vacation!” Goose begs Al to do more than that after the embarrassment they have caused all of them. Al finally agreed to reinstate The James Boys for a Titles Match next week with a stipulation that if the James lose, Goose will get to shave both of their heads!

ATLAS DABONE VS. ANTONI POLASKI
REF: Ray Ramsey

Antoni came to the ring looking just as angry as he has for the past few weeks when beating up people who had gotten some of Jacob Duncan’s (and formerly Polaski’s) money. Seeing DaBone with his gold chain probably didn’t help Antoni to forget either! Atlas, knowing full-well how hard it is to move Polaski, went for Antoni’s arm instead and managed to roll him up for a one-count! This just angered Antoni even more and he went straight for DaBone’s head several times in a corner. DaBone jumped on Polaski’s back for a sleeper, but it merely led to him being thrown back into another corner with Antoni’s full weight falling on him.

DaBone tried again and was thrown off, but a third leap on to Polaski brought his opponent to his knees before Polaski fell back and landed on top of DaBone. After a two-count, Polaski went to the corner and climbed on to the second-ropes, but stopped when he saw a leather-glove-clad hand reach out from the entrance curtain. Thinking it was Jacob, Polaski called for Jacob to come out, little realizing that Jacob was right behind him in the corner! Jacob shoved Antoni off the top-ropes and into the ring, giving Atlas the change to hit DaBoneyard Boogie and get the win!

SCOTT CARDINAL VS. DERRICK NEIKIRK
REF: Goose Mahoney

Two relative newcomers to OVW had the second match of the night, with the two trading off on arms until Neikirk hit a backbreaker on Cardinal. Neikirk chopped, kneed and dropped a knee on Cardinal’s neck before hitting a neckbreaker followed by another backbreaker over the knee! Still, Cardinal refused to let a count go past two and eventually suckered Neikirk into a roll-up before whipping Derrick into a couple of corners and giving him a dropkick to the head for a two-count. Frustrated, Cardinal whipped Neikirk to the ropes in hopes of connecting with another dropkick, but Derrick managed to hang on to the ropes and Cardinal hit air and soon after the canvas with the back of his head! One quick suplex from Neikirk later and he got the 1-2-3!

The camera cut to backstage where Hammer was confronting Ox about his “disrespect” for him, his family and the military by dancing around in his cap last week on the show. Hammer finished by telling Ox that their tag-team was history!

CHRIS CAGE & DIRTY MONEY VS. THE MAJOR BROTHERS
REF: Kevin Keenan

Chris Cage started off with Brian Major and the two seemed to be equally balanced with their moves and countermoves until Bret tags in for Brian. The two traded off for a while on Cage and Chris looked to be in serious trouble until he squeezed in an elbow to the side of the head, given him time to tag in Dirty Money. Money missed with an elbow-drop, however and found himself at the mercy of the Majors. Eventually, Dirty Money got in some forearms and a whip to send one of the Majors to the canvas for a two-count, but a dropkick, clothesline and a couple of slams later, Money was set to be pinned. Seeing his partner in trouble, Cage ran in and stomped one of the Majors in the back to stop the pin. The other Major threw him down with a leaping legdrop and then helped out on the Long Island Express to send Dirty Money down for the pin, giving the Majors the win!

Backstage, Team America leader Michael W. Kruel dressed down The Belgium Brawler for not beating Ace Steel last week on OVW Television. He then asked the team who wanted to prove themselves to him by taking on Ace Steel. With his back to the group, the rest shoved Raul Locos forward, bumping into Kruel in the process! Michael Congratulated Raul for stepping forward and told him to get to the ring for the next match, with Raul being unable to get a chance to protest! Kruel wasn’t done, however, as he yelled at the rest to head out with Raul, leaving Kruel alone in the room. Well, not exactly alone; as it turns out that Cody Rhodes was hiding in back, just waiting for Kruel to be alone so he could attack!

ACE STEEL VS. RAUL LOCO
REF: Goose Mahoney

Raul tried to look confident as he waited for Ace Steel to come out, but it was hard to remain that way with his opponent came out like an unstoppable locomotive! The first few seconds found Raul on the canvas three times and only finally getting up to get chopped away at by Ace. Raul snuck in a boot to the guy and a whip to a corner, but got an elbow in the mouth and a dropkick off the ropes in return from Steel. Raul managed to break away from a pin-attempt by grabbing the ropes and then pick up Steel and drop him on to the top-ropes!

As the two men staggered to get to their feet, Michael W. Kruel burst through the entrance curtain, backing away from the fist-flying fury of Cody Rhodes! Kruel somehow avoided Cody after a race around the ring and dove into the back, leaving an angry Cody to begin looking at Raul as a possible substitute for his rage. Raul backed away and straight into the waiting arms of Ace Steel, who whipped Raul around and into a DDT for the pin!

The win, however, brought out the rest of Team America, who did not look pleased with the results! Or, rather, that’s what it looked like at first. Instead, they were there to defend Kruel’s honor against Cody Rhodes for attacking their leader! Cody joined Ace in the ring and the two dared anyone to come in after them, and while Kruel tried to organize his army, none of his team seemed that eager to be the first to jump in. With the OVW refs telling them all to move to the back, Team America left with a lot of finger-pointing and idle threats!

VLADIMIR KOZLOV VS. JARROD SLONE
REF: Kevin Keenan

After a pep-talk from Kruel that left two other members of Team America at risk of serious injury, Kozlov came roaring out for his match against newcomer Jarrod Stone! And folks all I can say is that Kozlov simply took Stone through a journey through Hell, with a variety of slams, suplexes and even headbutts to the chest before finally forcing an end to the match after leaving Stone unconscious!

It was a happy win for Kozlov and Team America and Kruel took to the ring with the rest of the army to address the crowd. “That is what I’m talking about!” Kruel shouted. “If you want to declare war on the Great American Hero or on Team America, YOU WILL BE DESTROYED!”

As the ring was cleared, a man little known to OVW Television fans, but known to fans who attend Davis Arena as Twinkletoes came to the ring with two lovely assistance to hand out a broadcasting award to a man who is a “Superstar, Mega-star AND TV star!” And the nominees for that award are Shawn Spears Shawn Spears and Shawn Spears! “And the winner of this prestigious award goes to none other than your Television Champion, Shawn Spears!”

A “happily shocked” Shawn Spears arrived with an escort and eagerly took the award. “This was so unexpected!” His speech was interrupted by the appearance of OVW Troubleshooter Al Snow at ringside, which greatly upset Spears! “Hold on,” Spears jumped in before Al could speak. “I don’t remember inviting you to this ceremony, and I know why you’re here! I’m the TV Champ, so I have to ‘defend the Title every week. And Colt Cabana this, and Colt Cabana that!” Al asked the crowd if they wanted to see Colt in said match and got the first cheers from the audience since Shawn first appeared that night! Spears, however, pointed out to Al that the OVW rulebook states that a “Number One Contender” only gets so many chances and Colt has used all of his chances up!

Claiming to be ten steps in front of “Snowman,” Spears says that he already has a contender for tonight’s show handpicked. Al saw that he was licked and headed to the back as Spears said in a singsong voice, “Oh, there’s rulessss Sorry!”

And Shawn’s opponent? None other than Ted “The Trailer” McNaler, or, as he’s already known by some of the fans in attendance – MANBEAST! Taking little notice of the chants, Shawn asked Manbeast if he realized how big his opportunity was to be in the same ring with Shawn Spears and be in a match for the Television Title. Spears then told Manbeast that he would have to beg for such an opportunity if he wanted it. Ted told Shawn, “Tonight you’re not just getting into the ring with a man; tonight you’re getting into the ring with the one and the only, Ma-ma-ma-Ma-ma-ma-Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-MANBEAST!”

Spears, wondering what he let loose, gingerly took the microphone back from Manbeast and asked Dean why a person with obvious mental issues was in the ring. Because Dean could answer, Manbeast came up behind Shawn and rolled him up for a two-count to kick off the Television Title Match!

Spears retaliated from the roll-up with a clothesline and a knee to the face on Manbeast. A stomp to the forehead and a short-arm clothesline followed, leaving Manbeast desperately trying to hang on to the ropes. A slam followed that Spears applauded himself, since no one else would, and he followed that up by attempting to pin Manbeast with just a foot on his chest for a two-count. A fist to the jaw sent Manbeast down and Ray lecturing Shawn, although Spears swore he did it open-palm! Manbeast got in to punches to the gut, but that only led to him being taken down and Spears just walloping away at Manbeast’s head while sitting on his back and them just trying to tear his face off!

With Manbeast staggering, Spears got him setup for a vertical suplex, yet it turned out to be a trick, with Manbeast pulling Spears back and into a two-count! An elbow from off the ropes by Manbeast sent Shawn back down, but the count was called-off when Spears got his foot up on the ropes. Manbeast walked right into a standing dropkick and it looked as if Shawn was going to get the pin when he picked up Manbeast’s head to stop the count because he wasn’t quite through with Manbeast yet!

Yet before Spears could finish Manbeast off for good, none other than Colt Cabana came out to annoy and rant at Spears. Just as Spears told Cabana to get out, Manbeast ran at Spears and threw him back for the 1-2-3 and the win! Manbeast was now the OVW Television Champ!

Colt helped Manbeast up as he rolled out of the ring and held his arm high as Ray awarded a truly dazed Manbeast the Title! Meanwhile, in the ring, a stunned Shawn Spears sputtered for words, ending in a tantrum as this week’s OVW Television came to a close!

Until next week, remember to keep check out the OVW live events in your area and keep watching OVW Television on the CW Network in Cincinnati and Louisville !
