TiVo Central – Grey's Anatomy – Episode 4-3

Shows

This episode was all about the truth. Lots of people are lying. George and Izzie have their secret affair that Callie doesn’t know about. Meredith is hiding the fact that she is still sleeping with Derek, just so she can be a good friend to Cristina. Lexie is hiding the fact that she knows George is a “repeater intern” and doesn’t tell the other interns. Cristina is telling Meredith that nothing wrong and is joking around to hide her true feelings with the Burke breakup. Will any of the truth come out? Hmmm…

The world’s oldest intern makes his debut and he gets assigned to Alex. Alex doesn’t like that so much. Nothing really more to say about that. But Alex does tell the truth about George. Lexie kept his secret. But Alex couldn’t keep it to himself any longer. That was a little of the asshole Alex we used to know and love. Although, I don’t think that scored him any points with Lexie.

Cristina runs around all sad to take advantage of Meredith. Perhaps she could be really sad and not want to talk about it. Meredith doesn’t want to talk about it, because then she may have to talk about her and Derek and their “broken up state”. Really this storyline was left in limbo as we had more important issues to deal with. So that’s all to really say about that storyline for this episode.

Meanwhile, Meredith continues to have issues with Lexie. Meredith finally tells Lexie the truth about Lexie’s mom. You see, Meredith was Lexie’s mom’s doctor before she died. Meredith really didn’t like her mom, so Lexie thought that was the reason why she died. Meredith tells Lexie the truth, though. She did like her and she died of natural causes. They at least make a step in the right direction.

Izzie bugs George the entire episode about not telling Callie the truth. George finally yells at her. He will tell in her in due time. You can’t just end a marriage with a good woman like that he says. Basically, he is blaming all of this on himself. He feels obligated to her in a way, since she helped him through his father’s death. But at the same time, he really only married her because he was in such an emotional state of mind at the time.

Remember the old guy that was in a coma? All of the interns now residents used to eat their lunch in there. Well he woke up in this episode to give some advice to Izzie a.k.a. “blondie”. First, he says men don’t leave their wives for the “other woman”. But then later says it could happen one day. It just won’t be quick. Izzie takes that to heart before the old guy dies for good.

Callie spends the entire episode in a room by herself. She doesn’t want to fight with George or Bailey. So she does paperwork. Bailey finally comes and talks to her. Bailey says she is #1 still, but Callie is a close #2 now. Bailey says she wants to help her and as a team they can do good things as the “co-chief residents”.

But the big truth finally gets told. George leaves us with a bang. He walks into the house and Callie is there. Callie says “just say it” and George says “I slept with Izzie”. And there you go. We have to wait to see what happens until next week. But knowing this show they won’t show Callie’s reaction to it. It will probably be a new day and Callie will be looking for a fight with Izzie (At least that is what the previews suggest). I wish George would have said “WHY” he slept with Izzie. Not just that he did. Hopefully they are saving that for another episode. Actually they have to! Keep the audience wanting more is the motto these days. So see you next week!

Sir Linksalot: Television News

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
