[NEWS] Viva Laughlin Cancelled, To Be Replaced By Bruckheimer Show

News, Shows

Only Matt Cassell got the hook faster this week (What do you mean, you don’t watch football?). Kristen at E! Online is reporting that Viva Laughlin! the show loosely based on Viva Blackpool!, has been cancelled after only two episodes, which I believe makes it the first network cancellation of the 2007-08 season.

The Hugh Jackman-produced show tried to marry comedy, mystery, drama and musicals, which would appear to have failed miserably. I can’t imagine why – who wouldn’t want to watch a show that marries comedy, mystery, drama and musicals? Apparently, everyone.

Kristen also reports that the show will be replaced by the 12th season of the five time Emmy award winner for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program – The Amazing Race, which is set to debut on November 4. Personally, I can’t wait for the new season to start.
