D.J. Caruso already has his star in place as he reteams with Shia LaBeouf, but now another big name has signed on.
Billy Bob Thornton is joining the cast of Caruso’s next thriller Eagle Eye. The story tells that of a slacker kid and his mother who somehow get caught up in a terrorist plot. They overhear a cell phone conversation that calls for a political assassination. Now not only must they get the information into those that can stop it, but they must fend for their lives.
Michelle Monaghan and Rosario Dawson are already cast as well. Monaghan playing the character of LaBeouf’s mother and Dawson playing an agent. It is suspected that Thornton will also be playing the role of an agent.
Eagle Eye is currently scheduled for release in October of next year.
