Mitsuharu Misawa retained his GHC World Championship with a win over Samoa Joe yesterday at Budokan Hall. At the same show, Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura beat Bull Buchanan and D’Lo Brown to win the GHC Tag Team Championship.
Misawa faces KENTA in a title defense at next weekend’s New York Ring of Honor show.
Kenta Kobashi will be making his return to the ring after 18 months, teaming with Yoshihiro Takayama vs. Misawa and Jun Akiyama at the December 2 Budokan Hall show.
