Perhaps still reeling after getting his ass handed to him by Kanye West in a record-selling competition of his own making, 50 Cent has now decided to fire off against recent Mathan Erhardt editorial subject Lil Wayne, in yet another shameless (and shameful) attempt to get his heat back.
While it is pretty preposterous that Lil Wayne was voted as hip-hop’s most important name in a recent MTV poll, 50 Cent failed to take into account that most of the voters were probably delusional fans of crap music (which is why Curtis himself was also high on the list), also getting riled up because he didn’t end up winning with 100% of the vote.
Being one who has proven himself ready to cry over spilt milk at any opportunity, 50 Cent continued to carry on his frustration in a recent interview, where he managed to make it seem like he’s still the greatest thing since sliced bread even though it’s obvious that everyone’s starting to get as tired of him as I have been for the past 4 or so years. “I’ve already baited Lil Wayne to come on out so I can break his little neck,” he said to a reporter for King magazine (a.k.a. Blaxim). “Lil Wayne is a talented rapper but not a great songwriter. He’s not marrying the right production and lyrics to make classic hit records. Why not break his neck? I got nothing else to do…”
Expect Lil Wayne not to make any sort of riposte, as he probably realizes that 50 Cent is doing no harm to anyone but himself with more of this ridiculous auto-fellatio. Again, please, will someone, please, fatally shoot this guy and put us all (as well as him) out of our (his) misery?
