Batista, JBL, Burke, PPV Updates

JBL has landed a new deal with Fox Business Channel, appearing on the Cavuto show. He’ll be on it four days a week but still covering Smackdown tapings and PPV events for WWE. His wife, Meredith Whitney, is a regular on Cavuto as a stock analyst. JBL had a previous deal on the Fox News Channel before leaving to join CNBC in 2004, only to be fired a few weeks later after a controversial wrestling performance during a German tour. WWE.com also has a feature on Elijah Burke ahead of his appearance tonight on Ghost Hunters. C.M. Punk appeared on the show on Halloween 2006 for a live broadcast from the Stanley Hotel, which gained infamy in the film The Shining. Burke is going to be at Waverly Hills, an abandoned tuberculosis hospital in Louisville.

The Armageddon poster has been modified. In the original version Batista was holding the World Heavyweight Title belt, now he is… not.

Meanwhile, John Cena is still on the promotional poster for WrestleMania XXIV:

Don’t read too much into that one though, he’s almost certainly not going to be wrestling at the show.

Elsewhere, the Baltimore Sun has an interview with Batista about his book, his reaction backstage, the Undertaker putting him over clean and more. Another story on Batista promoting his book is at The Miami Herald. He noted he had to fight WWE because they wanted to remove Chris Benoit from the book and he fought them on it. He did say some stuff was taken out, but they wanted all references out. He said, due to the back, his ex-wife and he are closer than they’ve been in years. He noted working with Undertaker is a lot easier than working with Khali. You don’t say.
