The SmackDown Report

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

I’m tired and rushing this episode since I’ve got to get ready for work shortly afterwards. So if I confuse my words a bit more than usual, I’m sorry but you’ll get over it. Hopefully.

Our main event tonight is a sure fire MOTYC: Undertaker and Batista vs. Mark Henry and The Great Khali. Speaking of Batista, he’s opening up the show.

Batista says he accomplished something he thought he may never do by beating The Undertaker. Batista says they’ve won one each and had two draws. Batista doesn’t think the pair have settled any differences, but tonight Batista has Undertaker’s back. The lights black out and you know who turns up in the middle of the ring. Taker says he has Batista’s back, because Batista still has what Taker wants. Batista brings up the idea of a rematch, and before Taker can even say anything, Batista accepts his own challenge. Taker suggest Hell In A Cell and we head to a commercial. So we’ve got Orton and Michaels in a No DQ match AND Batista and Taker in a Hell In A Cell match? Sounds like it’ll be a pretty good show.

Honestly; this was dull and far too repetitive. Yes, what they were doing made sense, and the match wasn’t terrible, but it went on far too long. One out of Ten. If they’d wrapped that down to 5 or so minutes, then it would’ve easily been a good match.

The Inside Pulse
Festus defeats Domino: 3/10
Rey Mysterio defeats Jamie Noble: 6/10
Kane defeats Montel Vontavious Porter: 1/10
Mick Foley defeats Jonathon Coachman: -5/10
Chuck Palumbo defeats Kenny Dykstra: 2/10
Batista and The Undertaker defeat Mark Henry and The Great Khali: 3/10
SmackDown 02/11/07: 10/60

An alright show which ends in a good beat down and had a good cruiser weights match early on. But there’s not really much more to say about this show while remaining positive. Kane and Porter went FAR too long. The Foley, Coachman, and Hornswoggle stuff was totally unnecessary and not enjoyable at all. Sigh. Until next week. I’ve got work and a pile of assignments to do! Laters!
