Adrian Peterson Injury Update

Adrian Peterson will be out at least one week with a torn LCL. The injury will not require surgery and head coach (in the loosest sense of the word) Brad Childress wouldn’t put a timeline in place as to when Peterson may be able to return, but he did say it appeared to be healing well, which is a friggin miracle considering its been just about 24 hours and a normal person wouldn’t really think it would be healing at all yet, let alone healing well.

The Vikings will rely on second year Viking Chester Taylor to carry the load on offense until Peterson returns. (Read as: We’re Screwed)

Part of me wants him to be done for the year, because it might get Childress fired, and we’ll get a better draft pick, but another part of me is afraid Wilf will look at the team and say “Well, they lost AP mid year, lets give Childress another shot.” Which is to terrible a thought to think about, so I won’t.
